METHOD OF PROCESSING PHOTOPLETISMOGRAPHIC SIGNALS OBTAINED FROM A PERSON OR ANIMAL AND OXIMETER USING SAID METHOD
The invention relates to a method of processing photopletismographic signals obtained from a person or animal and to an oximeter using said method. The inventive method comprises the following steps consisting in: a) receiving time-domain photopletismographic electrical signals; b) transforming said time signals into spectral signals; c) identifying a series of candidate peaks as the peak produced at the cardiac frequency; d) obtaining a series of parameters from said candidate peaks; and e) determining which peak is representative of the cardiac frequency from said parameters, step (d) being performed such as to obtain first, second and third parameters using calculations executed in parallel. According to the invention, the first parameter results from a function of harmonic probability in relation to the candidate peaks, the second parameter results from a function of preponderance, in terms of energy, in relation to the candidate peaks and the third parameter results from a function of historical analysis in relation to said candidate peaks.

ENDOSCOPIC PROBE WITH OPTO-ELECTRONIC SENSOR FOR USE IN DIAGNOSTICS AND SURGERY
The invention is an endoscope in which the tubular probe comprises, at the end inserted into the patient, one or more opto-electronic sensors that detect optical signals associated with a parameter of the physiological activity of the organs, tissues and/or specific regions thereof, and that produce electrical signals in proportion to the value of said parameter. The sensors comprise electronic elements that emit optical radiation in specific wavelengths and electronic elements that detect said radiation. The distinct spatial arrangement of the elements in the probe allows measurement of the amount of radiation at a given wavelength that the organ, tissue or region thereof reflects (when operating in reflection mode) or that is transmitted therethrough (when operating in transmission mode), or a combination thereof. The electronic elements of the sensors may be arranged so as to be stationary in the probe or may be arranged in the form of moving parts with a view to optimizing the use thereof.

NON-INVASIVE SENSOR, DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING TRAINING PARAMETRES DURING THE PERFORMANCE OF PHYSICAL EXERCISES
A non-invasive, ring-shaped sensor (1) for determining blood oxygen saturation and heart rate of a person performing a physical exercise comprises a signal transmitter that transmits signals through the tissue and the arterial blood volume in the finger of the person, a receiver for receiving the transmitted signals and a first communication unit (4) that sends these signals wirelessly to a second communication unit (9) of a remote electronic device (7). In the device (7) the maximum lactate concentration, in the case of the performance of a progressive and intense exercise, and the training heart rate range are determined on the basis of the oxygen desaturation value in the arterial blood volume. The invention also relates to a system that comprises a sensor (1) and a device (7), as well as to the method for determining working zones using this system.
